I know I havn't updated here in a while. Mostly I've been struggling a lot with my SAD and just getting through the weather changes lately. I had Thanksgiving, my birthday and Halloween all in the same month which made it hard to stick to my diet. Thankfully I am still keeping up with my walking to and from the school so I didn't completely blow my weight and gain it all back from what I lost in September. My weigh in on Sunday was the exact same weight I was before my period and right after my birthday...194. So no loss for me but also no gain. I think the walking keeps it balanced out during the periods of time I am not eating very well. The halloween candy has been very tempting and I am wanting hearty comfort foods to help cheer me up with the rainy cold weather lately. Yesterday I made the most delicious pasta dinner. mmmm....I know I have been trying to at least make healthy dinners for Master and I. It helps to have my 4 pm rule now so I can get in the kitchen and serve up something healthy and yummy.
November is typically the worst month for me with my eating. Christmas is around the corner and the weather gets so yucky and daylight savings time (which comes this Sunday) makes the days shorter and so dark. My SAD (seasonal affective disorder) goes crazy and I tend to stay inside as much as I can (not counting the walking which happens everyday unless it's really bad) and eat too much to help me stay comforted. Sometimes I miss going to the tanning booth as that did help me a lot during the SAD parts of the year with winter blues going on. Boy I miss spring and summer! Fall is wonderful too. I just hate winter! Cold, wet, rainy and lots of darkness.
My drinking has gotten a bit better although I still like to cut loose on the weekends. It gives me an escape and stress relief. I am glad for the rule of no drinking during the week as it keeps me focused and not doing it everyday.
I will try to update more and I really want to keep focused on my goals still. I know I can do it!
May the force be with you.

I KNOW you can do it too; proud of you, too, for getting back on track.

I agree with Anakin, I know you can do it! You are so right, winter is a hard time of year, but I am sure you can figure out warm but healthy foods to fix and eat, and not blow your diet! Take care, keep up the good work!

Hi Padme,
This is such a yucky time of year when we are all too stressed and surrounded by unhealthy food. Just think how proud you will be of yourself when you keep up your diet and exercise in spite of it all. I know you can do it!
Big Hugs
