Diet update

Weigh in was late this week due to Thanksgiving. I was not looking forward to going on the scale after all the turkey and trimmings. I knew I did not eat very good this weekend but it was a holiday and I have a hard time saying no to pumpkin pie with whipped cream or eating lots of turkey with gravy. I stepped on the scale today and it still says 194. So I didn't gain any but I didn't lose any either. I think my walking every day saved my butt on the scales. I am still walking to and from the school so I get exercise with that. I also think that drinking lots of the loose tea has been good for me. I'm not drinking as much alcohol anymore. Instead of a glass of merlot before bed I am having a cup of coconut black tea. I love it and it unwinds me without the extra calories or alcohol.

I did not get to my goal of 190 which I had for my birthday. My birthday is in a few days and I will not be dieting during my birthday weekend. It's too hard to diet and I am going out to eat at my favorite restaurant. I also plan to drink this weekend. I will eat clean until Saturday and then be back on Monday. I am only 4 pounds from my goal so I am going to keep on track and I know I can reach it if I don't give up.

It's been a hard journey but it's worth it and I am glad for this blog to be able to write out what's been happening. I need to post more here. I've been avoiding it lately because I knew my diet was not doing very well.

One more pound

I did a weigh in this morning. My period is now over and my bloating has gone down. I am down one more pound! Yeah! I wish it was more but I know I havn't been eating well with my period week last week. I am down to 194. I've got 4 pounds to reach my goal for 190 by my birthday in two weeks. I'm a little worried I won't reach that goal in time. I am happy though that I am losing some weight and I am feeling sexier and better about my body.

I did some extra walking today by going to wal mart this morning. I will be walking this afternoon also to the school and back. I would like to do more elliptical trainer but I am not going to push myself too hard. I'm doing well on my diet today. My weekend really sucked with the diet but I figure I can get back on track for this week and hopefully lose a bit more than just one pound for weigh in next week.
